Decoupage Night Stand

This is my daughter's nightstand that we had purchased at a 

garage sale years ago.  

It was a darker brown wood...she painted it white and used

scrapbook paper and her own printed pictures that she made

from online text and tore them and glued 

them onto the top.  

Just using white glue

I wanted to get a good thick clear coat on the top...but didn't make it before

she got a piece wet and it tore.  Easily fixed...just haven't done

it yet.

She also did the drawer front.

As you can tell she is into Paris things and music...

This turned out so cute....it is so much nicer in person.

Re-purposing a Stool

From Broken Stool.....to .....Night Stand

This thing was wobbly and legs wouldn't stay attached to the 

metal frame and the back completely fell off...so

before I threw it on the curb....I thought

we'd try making a night stand out of it.

we had searched high and low at all the thrift stores but

couldn't find a night stand....so this will do for now...

I still have some adjustments to make...but I

don't have any good tools...I just did this

with a hand saw...think I need to take a little more

off the front leg....but I'm afraid to... hee hee

pretty soon when you start doing that...you end up

with no legs on the thing...
